Dubai matches and Gulf neighbours
Valve’s Dubai site. It serves both CS2 and Dota 2 and is worth picking when you play with friends in the Emirates or a neighbouring Gulf state. There is more on ping over a VPN on our games page.
ChatGPT and Claude. Both AI lists include the UAE, along with Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Kuwait, Bahrain and Oman. Egypt is on them too, so for AI the two tiles do the same job.
UAE or Egypt
Pick the UAE for Valve matches, since Egypt has no Valve site. For WATCH IT’s Egyptian catalogue, the Egypt tile is the better choice, as the rights to some series depend on the region.
The UAE tile
The tile reads “UAE”, so search for those three letters rather than “Emirates”.
VALORANT and OSN+
Is there a VALORANT server in Dubai?
No. Riot lists its server for this part of the world in Bahrain, and you choose it inside the game. Your account stays on its shard whatever IP you connect from.
Can I watch OSN+ on the UAE tile?
Unlikely. OSN+ streams only to viewers who are physically in the Middle East and North Africa, and according to its help centre the app is not accessible over a VPN.
